The I-162 is designed to operate two fluorescent lamps in parallel, insuring emergency light output from one lamp even if the other lamp is burnt out or otherwise inoperable. In the case of only one lamp operating, the I-162 will provide more power to the single lamp for additional lumen output. |

| PRODUCT DESCRIPTION |
| The I-162 Fluorescent Emergency Ballast allows the same fixture to be used for both normal and emergency operation. In the event of a power failure, the I-162 switches to the emergency mode and operates two of the existing lamps in parallel for 90 minutes. The unit contains a battery, charger, and inverter circuit in a single can and is provided with 2' of 3/8" flex for wiring to the fixture. The I-162 can be mounted next to or on top of the fixture, and is UL Listed for retrofit applications. The I-162 can be used with most 2'-4' T8 and T12 linear lamps, 54W T5, and 26W-57W 4-pin compact lamps, with an initial output of up to 3000 lumens for two lamps. The I-162 is compatible with all electronic or magnetic, series or parallel output, multi-lamp ballasts. |
