TIME DELAY ENHANCEMENT AND
OPEN CIRCUIT ISOLATION

In 2002, IOTA Engineering was the first to introduce Time Delay and Open Circuit Isolation battery pack enhancements with the SERIES D emergency ballast. These integrated enhancements enabled emergency battery packs to function smoothly with 'End-of-Lamp-Life' circuitry in newer AC ballasts, and provided an additional level of unit protection from over-voltage caused by an absence of lighting load. Today, IOTA's Time Delay and Open Circuit Isolation enhancements have proven themselves as a reliable and effective feature in emergency lighting, and have since been implemented as the standard in IOTA fluorescent emergency ballasts.
